Recording Videos of Patient Sessions

For Doctors, Residents and Nurses

In each examination room, a digital video camera is set up so that you may record visits with patients for review at a later time.

Recording the Session

  1. From the desktop, click on the QuickTime icon labelled "VIDEO-REC":   videorec
  2. When you wish to begin recording, click the Red Circle at the bottom of the window.

  3. Minimize the recording window while with the patient (it will continue recording).

  4. The camera will continue to record until you press the grey square Stop button.

  5. If you wish to save your video to review it at a later time, select File > Save As from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

  6. Type in the file name of your video- it should include the date and further notation to help you remember which video is which.
  7. From the menu, click the folder with your name on it (example adamczyk_k).

  8. Click Save.

Accessing Saved Recorded Sessions

  1. Click on the Finder icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen (the left-most icon which looks like two faces).

  2. From the menu, click the folder with your name on it (example adamczyk_k).

    3. If you finished accessing the folder make sure to log out from the stonechurch account.
